Bia Conected to traditional portuguese and azorean music since she was born, Beatriz Noronha lives through music and architecture. She iniciated her music studies in Azores at the age of 9 studying guitar and later on piano, vocals and traditional instruments. When she came to Lisbon to study architecture, she also iniciated her jazz studies at the JBJAZZ school. In those days she refounded the "Arquitectuna", a traditional music group of architecture students, and became its leader. Nowadays she is a member of XAILE, a M.P.P. band with a cd relesead on July 2007. In Xaile she sings and plays guitar, cavaquinho and adufe, with Lília (celtic harp) and Marie (flutes) side by side. |
